Christina Gkiza is a visual artist whose work explores the urban environment, its forms, textures and hidden layered meanings.
She has always been drawn to the textures and ephemeral nature of the city. She has always been attracted to dust-encrusted objects, paint-chipped surfaces.
Her maxim that ‘beauty is all around’ allows a fluid and penetrating visual exploration of the often overlooked.
She explores various techniques and approaches in a desire to arrive at a style that is both organic and honest.
